Business Without the Money Pressure

This episode explores why business has become so serious and how focusing only on money might be the exact thing holding people back from starting, continuing, or enjoying what they’re building.

There’s a strong pull online toward fast results, revenue goals, and constant growth, but that pressure often creates tension, overthinking, and disconnection from the actual work.

Instead, this conversation brings it back to basics: business as experimentation, curiosity, and movement.

Not ignoring money, but not letting it control every decision, especially in the early stages.

The key shift is simple…stop asking “Will this make money?” and start asking “Am I willing to do this long enough to find out?”

Because the people who build something meaningful aren’t the ones who waited to get it right, they’re the ones who kept moving, testing, and adjusting along the way.

Optional Homework:
Take a few minutes with these:
1. If money wasn’t part of the equation right now… what would you be doing?
2. What would you try, test, or explore just out of curiosity?
3. Are you building something you actually want to be doing in 5 years?
4. Are you avoiding action because you’re trying to “get it right”?

Then choose one small action you’d take if the pressure was removed and do that.

If this way of thinking resonates, the next step is simple, get around more of it.

Whose Opinion Are You Living By

This episode explores the subtle way we let other people’s opinions shape our decisions… without even realising it.

This conversation is a reminder that experience matters.
You’ve lived, learned, and handled more than you give yourself credit for.
And at some point, you have to stop looking sideways for approval…
and start backing yourself.
Because when you shape your life around what others think is “right”…
you don’t create anything meaningful — you just play it safe.
And safe doesn’t change your life.

Support Follow-up Questions:
For the next week, start noticing where you’re holding yourself back because of someone else’s opinion.

Keep it simple:
Catch it:
“Whose opinion am I thinking about right now?”
Check it:
“Have they actually lived the kind of life I’m trying to create?”
Choose anyway:
Say it, post it, share it, try it — even if it feels uncomfortable.

Do this with awareness, not judgement.

If this episode resonated, share it with someone who needs to hear it.
And if you’re ready to stop overthinking and start following through on what actually matters, come and join me inside The Finishers Club.
This is where you learn how to back yourself, take action, and finish what you start — without the drama.

Chapter Checks The Next Big Thing

Episode 110 – The Chapters of Your Life (and the One You’re About to Write)

Looking back through old photo albums can reveal something surprising: life naturally unfolds in chapters. Some chapters are filled with adventure and discovery, others with responsibility, growth, and building a life for the people we love. The challenge is that while we’re living inside a chapter, we often assume it will stay the same forever.

This episode explores the idea that life is meant to evolve. Through personal reflection sparked by sorting through decades of photos, this conversation looks at how easily people settle into roles, routines, and identities that once made sense but may no longer fit the person they are becoming.
The episode introduces a simple reflective tool called a Chapter Check. It’s a way to pause and ask whether current decisions are being made for the life that exists today, or for the life that is quietly calling next.
Growth does not always require dramatic change. Often it begins with awareness. Recognising the chapter you are in, and giving yourself permission to imagine the next one, can open the door to more freedom, creativity, and enjoyment in life.
Life moves. People grow. And sometimes the most important step is simply acknowledging that a new chapter may be ready to begin.

Homework: Do a “Chapter Check”
Take some time this week to reflect on the different chapters of your life.
You may like to write them down as titles, just like a book.
Examples might look like:
The adventure years
The building years
The young family years
The survival years
The reinvention years

Once you’ve mapped out your chapters, ask yourself a few questions:
1. What chapter of life am I currently in?
Give it a name that honestly reflects this period.

2. Does this chapter still feel alive and expanding?
Or does it feel like it may be coming to a natural close?

3. Is there something quietly calling me into the next chapter?
A new experience, a new direction, or something you’ve been wanting to explore.

4. If I were already living that next chapter, what decisions might I start making differently?

This is the essence of a Chapter Check.
It’s a pause to ensure the decisions you make today support the life you are growing into, not just the life you have been living.

Do you have a negative attitude?

Negativity does not come from circumstances.
It comes from the brain.
This episode explores how subtle, everyday negativity often goes unnoticed because it feels like “being realistic” or “just telling it how it is.”

Many people believe their frustration, disappointment, or resentment is caused by external factors, a partner, a job, a body, a season of life. But the quality of life is shaped far more by attitude than by circumstance.

Attitude is simply a collection of thoughts. Those thoughts create emotional baselines. When negativity runs unchecked, it can quietly become the default setting, influencing relationships, confidence, health, and results.

This episode introduces a simple 24-hour attitude audit:
1. Notice the first thought when something goes wrong.
2. Notice the first thought when someone disagrees.
3. Notice the first thought when looking in the mirror.
4. Notice the first thought when thinking about goals.

Then ask yourself;
Is it generous or harsh?
Curious or judgmental?
Possibility-focused or limiting?

The goal is not forced positivity. It is awareness.

When thoughts are written down, patterns become visible. And once a thought can be seen, it can be questioned, softened, or replaced.
Same circumstances. Different thinking. Completely different experience of life.

Not All Drama Is Bad: Here’s the Kind You DO Need

If you’re craving a calmer life but keep getting stuck in patterns of overthinking, avoidance, or emotional overwhelm… this episode is for you.
We often hear that drama is something to eliminate, but what if a little drama is exactly what’s needed to grow?

In this episode, you’ll explore the idea that not all discomfort is bad, and how the right kind of drama, the push to show up, try again, or feel something uncomfortable can actually be the thing that moves you forward.
Expect real-life reflections, mindset shifts, and encouragement to stop waiting for things to feel perfect and start showing up as you are.

You don’t need a whole new life. You need small, brave moves done consistently, with less internal chaos and a whole lot more self-trust.

90 Seconds of Discomfort v's A Life You Actually Want

You’re not lazy.
You’re not unmotivated.
And you definitely don’t need another productivity hack that adds to your load.

If you’re struggling to follow through, the real reason might be simpler and deeper than you think:

👉 You’re avoiding an emotion.

In this episode, I break down the truth most people never realise: it’s not the task that’s hard, it’s the feeling it brings up.

And that discomfort? It usually only lasts about 90 seconds.
But most people let it stop them for 90 days… or 90 months.

What We Cover:

- The surprising reason you’re avoiding your goals
- Why emotions, not laziness are the real blocker
- The science behind the 90-second emotional cycle
- How to feel a feeling and still take action
- Why “avoiding discomfort” costs you way more than feeling it ever will

This Is For You If You’ve Ever Said:
“I don’t feel like it.”
“I’ll do it later.”
“I just need to get in the right headspace.”

It’s not about headspace. It’s about learning how to sit with a feeling, and keep moving anyway.

Powerful Thought to Take With You:
“I can feel anything for 90 seconds”

Episode 103: You Don’t Need to Fix Yourself to Build a Better Life

Have you ever found yourself doing more personal development… only to feel worse?
You’re journaling, unpacking, “doing the work”—but instead of feeling clearer, you feel stuck in a spiral of self-analysis.
Sound familiar? You’re not alone.
In this episode, I talk about the trap that so many high-achievers fall into: thinking personal growth is about fixing yourself, healing everything, or figuring it all out before you’re allowed to move forward.
But that’s not it.
Personal development is about direction—not perfection.
This one’s real, reflective, and full of clarity if you’ve been spinning in your own mind.

What We Cover:
Why personal growth can feel heavier the more you do it
How “waiting until you’ve healed” can actually keep you stuck
The difference between healing and progressing
Why decisions move you forward faster than insight ever could
What to focus on instead when you’re caught in a fix-it spiral

Key Takeaways:
✅ You are not a project
✅ You don’t need to be fully healed to build something new
✅ Personal growth is meant to support your life, not overtake it
✅ Decisions—not breakthroughs—are what create momentum

Listen To This If You’ve Been Thinking:
“I’ve done so much work on myself… why am I still stuck?”
“There must be something else wrong with me I haven’t uncovered yet.”
“I can’t move forward until I figure this out.”

Ever walked past someone who didn't smile, and thought, “Are they mad at me?”
Or seen someone with a blank face in a meeting and assumed they hated your idea?

You're not alone and you're not broken.

In this episode, I share one powerful insight that has genuinely changed my day-to-day thinking: 60% of people interpret neutral facial expressions as negative. That stat stopped me in my tracks, and what I've learned since then has been a game-changer.

We dive into how this shows up in everyday life (especially in close relationships), why it creates so much drama, and exactly what to do instead.

What We Cover:
The sneaky drama caused by misreading neutral faces
Why your brain fills in the blanks with worst-case scenarios
How this habit shows up in families, at work, and even on Zoom
What to do in the moment to stay grounded and not spiral
How this awareness frees up energy and emotional space

Key Takeaways:
✅ Most people do misread neutral expressions, it's not just you
✅ It's your brain trying to protect you (but it often creates more drama)
✅ You can train your brain to interpret neutrals more calmly

Episode 99- Decision Fatigue vs. Decision Authority: How to Follow Through on Your Goals

92% of people don’t achieve the goals they set?
That stat can feel discouraging, until you understand why it happens.

In this episode, I’m diving into a game-changing mindset shift: the difference between decision fatigue (constantly rethinking your goals) and decision authority (committing and following through). If you’ve ever found yourself starting strong and then slipping into excuses, overthinking, or “maybe this isn’t the right time,” this episode is your wake-up call.

What We Cover:
The biggest reason most goals fail (hint: it’s not lack of motivation)
What decision fatigue looks like in real life
Why your brain tries to talk you out of things you've already committed to
How to choose grounded commitment over emotional storytelling
What it really takes to follow through on the things that matter

Key Takeaways:
✅ “I’ve already decided. Now it’s time to follow through.”
✅ Your goals don’t require perfection, they require consistency
✅ Quitting often sounds wise but is usually fear dressed up in logic
✅ Your brain will always offer you a way out… you don’t have to take it

Actionable Insight:
Start catching the moment where you want to quit or “pause” your goal. Instead, say to yourself:
“I’ve already decided. Now it’s time to follow through.”
Then ask: What’s the next smallest step I can take today?

Episode 98- Why Fixing other people creates more drama (and what to do instead)

Changing others is never the solution. I don't want to say it, but that is always out of your control. What you can control is yourself. And I highly recommend spending more time doing that instead of "fixing" others.

Ever find yourself thinking, “If they’d just do this, their life would be so much better…”
We’ve all done it, whether it’s about our partner, our kids, our friends, or a stranger on Instagram. But here’s the truth: trying to fix someone else’s life (even with good intentions) creates unnecessary drama, drains your energy, and distracts you from your own growth.

In this episode, we’re unpacking how to shift from fixing others to focusing on yourself and how this one change can create more calm, more clarity, and a whole lot less drama.

What We Cover:
Why offering advice without consent rarely lands well
The sneaky ways “helping” turns into controlling
How trying to change others is often a distraction from your own life
Why awareness is always the first step to change
How to let go of gossip, judgment, and unsolicited “fixing” energy

Key Takeaways:
✅ You’re not bad for wanting to help, but unsolicited advice rarely helps

✅ Trying to control others distracts you from your own growth

✅ Peace comes from focusing on what’s in your control…you

✅ More Self-responsibility, less judgment, every time

Actionable Insight:
The next time you feel the urge to “help” someone who hasn’t asked for it, pause.

Ask: Am I offering advice, or am I trying to fix?

Then turn the mirror around: What can I learn from this moment about myself?
